While at AWP2025 recently, a woman told me about The Story Graph and said it’s like Goodreads, the book reader/reviewer site owned by Amazon.
So I went there and…she’s right! The site is “a book tracking and social platform, is a Black woman-owned independent company, founded by CEO Nadia Odunayo in 2019.”
The layout is definitely more cleaner, simpler and generally more user friendly than Goodreads and seems to offer the same features as Goodreads: the ability to explore in a number of ways (title, author, etc.); reading challenges; opportunities to built communities; and giveaways.
