My life is split into two time periods:
The “before” time when I knew getting enough sleep was good for me, but didn’t prioritize it.
The “after” time when the message finally sank in and I got great sleep on a regular basis.
I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t create those good sleep habits until about 8 years ago. When I did, the quality of my life shot way up. Irritability disappeared. I felt sharper in my thinking. I was a lot more productive and helpful to others.
Do you have good sleeping habits?
Mine are pretty simple: go to bed 8 hours and 15 minutes before I have to get up and spend those 15 minutes reading.
AND…The more stress I have, the more firm I am about getting enough sleep.
