Normally we stay in Lahaina, so when we heard about the devastating Aug. 8 wildfire that blew through the town — killing 100 and destroying over 2000 buildings — we really grieved for the citizens of our home away from home.

We’re staying in Kihei and hope our tourist dollars help the state fund Lahaina’s rebuild.
